Dream 3 From Sleep by Max Richter

Acclaimed Britsh composer Max Richter has written a new landmark recording: SLEEP is 8 hours long – the equivalent of a night’s rest – and is actually and genuinely intended to send the listener to sleep. “It’s an eight-hour lullaby,” says its composer, Max Richter.
The ground-breaking new work is scored for piano, strings, electronics and vocals – but no words. “It’s my personal lullaby for a frenetic world,” he says. “A manifesto for a slower pace of existence.”

  1. THIS is brilliant! The last statement is absolutely captivating! This reminds me of something akin to Phillip Glass or Steven Reich. I’d love to play the whole piece all the way through. This is stunningly powerful and silky water soothing at the same time. The b/w video that is accompanying it is also the same. Thank You Tim for sharing this one, it’s beautiful. I am absolutely in love with this composition. Its orchestration and subtlety has just taken over my headspace. Incredible. I am in awe and feel like everything I just said meant nothing to what I am hearing again for the third time today.

THIS is Progressive! An 8hour composition by Max Richter entitled SLEEP. Thanks to my friend Tim Cox for posting this! (check his blog and music out, it’s great Prog from the UK!) This is part 3 and I can’t wait to hear the whole thing, it’s absorbing and pulls you in and watch the video on as big a screen as possible with all the lights out, you’ll feel it and may even doze off it’s amazing. A beautiful piece of music by an incredible artist.
